Here below I have listed for you the unmissable places in La Valletta.
You will find shops, stores, green gardens, and gourmets located on Google Maps.
- There is a supermarket located on the ground floor of the covered market (Is-Suq) on Merchants Street in Valletta, and you should also be able to find most things in the small local grocers around the city too.
- Shops are typically open from 9am until 1pm, and open again at 4pm until 7pm.
- On Wednesday and Saturday afternoons, you may find many food stores are closed, except the Suq which is open 7 days a week until around 9pm.
- Sunday is most definitely a day of rest for most food shops though.
- For fresh fruit and vegetables, there are a number of small shops in Valletta selling local produce. City Vegetables on Merchants Street has a nice selection. Pick from the cart parked outside and trust your instincts! Availability is generally local and seasonal.
